sigeki / spherian power exposition thingy

Most of the population of Sigeki and the Sphere have at least lower-key special abilities, which often take strictly utilitarian forms, with the Sphere tending more towards psychic-based capacity in general (minor memory expansions, occasional hovering if not actual flight, low-level technomancy and so on). A fairly large subset of NPCs have power which is useful for actual battle conditions. Sigeki overall seems to have a better 'anchoring' in the storyspace continuum, if only because so much weirdness has taken place there in the past five years, but overall the inhabitants of both worlds are roughly genetically identical. I'ma glare at Julien for a few more seconds, here.

One side-effect of this universal power aspect is that just about everyone, if IH were actually an RPG, would get at least a slightly unique character sprite (and often be recruitable, if not for active battle then as something else, with difficulty proportional to overall uniqueness). This can be blamed on a wide variety of things. Such as one of the main components in Sigeki's origin having at least 700 or so named characters.
